Historic Gibraltar - The Great Siege Tunnels
Depart with a scenic drive north toward the Spanish frontier, crossing Gibraltar’s historic runway, built in 1942 and famously used by General Eisenhower. Continue south along the ancient city walls to Europa Point, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic, and views stretch across the Strait to North Africa.
Next, visit Apes’ Den, home to Gibraltar’s iconic Barbary macaques, the only free-roaming apes in Europe. Your journey culminates at the Great Siege Tunnels, an extraordinary feat of 18th-century military engineering. Carved by hand through solid rock during the Great Siege of 1783, these tunnels allowed British guns to fire on besieging forces from unexpected angles.

Next, ascend to the Upper Rock to explore St. Michael’s Cave, a breathtaking natural wonder formed over millennia. Afterwards, meet Gibraltar’s most famous residents, the Barbary macaques, Europe’s only free-roaming apes, before enjoying a scenic drive through the old town and city center before returning to your ship.

An “all ages” trip to “Dolphin World” and cruise with us around the Bay of Gibraltar, with the coastline of Africa only a stone’s throw away. Here, there is a very high concentration of our favourite mammals and, if we are very lucky, we might see baby dolphins swimming close to their mothers, rising to the surface when coming up to breathe.
A fantastic opportunity to take pictures and see the Striped, the Bottle-Nosed and the Common Dolphin as well as seven species of whale, flying fish, turtles and sunfish in their natural habitat and to admire the landmarks of Gibraltar all in the same afternoon.
